Day-to-day- breakdown of this trip

Day 1

Travel

On day 1, we shall travel from Kampala to Ngamba Chimpanzee sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to over 200 habituated chimpanzees and it’s found on an island on lake victoria it has so much history and gives the clients other services like meals and accommodation so we shall stay at the island for 2 days.

Day 2

Activities

We can take part in all the activities at the island from feeding to cleaning the chimpanzee sanctuary and later share about primates in Uganda.

Day 3

Travel

We set off from the island, get back to Kampala then head for Kibale. We shall get to the lodge in the evening but this will depend on the time we leave Kampala, check into the property and have late lunch and get a briefing of the following day activities and later have an early dinner.

Day 4

Trekking

After breakfast, we set off for Chimp Tracking in the Kibale NP where one can track chimpanzees in their natural environment. We shall also get the opportunity to learn about the ecosystems of the park including vegetation types, bird identification and behavior and chimp and monkey ecology. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a pretty good chance of hearing and seeing them habituated. Tours last between one and three hours and start at 8am and 2pm daily. After lunch, we shall have a spa treatment and lazy afternoon enjoying the lodge amenities.

Day 5

After having breakfast, at leisure you can set off to Kampala using Mbarara road and stop over at Igongo cultural center for lunch  and also have a photo moment at the equator  then reach Kampala and check into their hotel  with the best memories.
